Alternative Fuel Vehicles: Go Green
|
It is very important that scientists begin work on more efficient automobiles that take advantage of alternative fuels because most of the resources on the planet are of a limited nature and fuel consumption remains as high as ever. Fuel prices are skyrocketing and if current trends continue then soon a day will arrive in which there is no more oil.
Auto makers throughout the globe have begun to make hybrid cars that do not use gas or diesel fuel. Several years ago, we witnessed the debut of electric autos too. There is an ever increasing awareness that we must conserve energy. Numerous nations are considering the substitution of hybrid vehicles in place of their current gas or diesel fueled cars and vans.
In every corner of the world, vehicles powered by alternate fuels, are becoming increasingly popular. Almost all kinds of people - business owners, movie stars, etc have this on their ‘priority-list’. A fitting example is that of bio-diesel, which is being used in the running of cars and other larger vehicles, as fuel. Compared to regular kinds of fuels like petrol and diesel, alternate fuels have a lot of advantages.
All over the world automobile companies are now going into the production of green cars. Green cars are those which run on alternate fuels such as electricity, solar cells, or biodiesel. In a world where people everywhere worry about worsening pollution, smog, and global warming, green cars are likely the cars of the future. Studies have been conducted on energy alternative fuel vehicles which have proved that they use less fuel and have a higher miles-per-gallon ratio than traditional cars which run on gas or diesel.
It is true that energy alternative fuel vehicles are a little expensive at present, but as more and more people start purchasing such vehicles, their prices will definitely come down. There are many respiratory diseases which are the direct result of air-pollution. Automobile exhausts contain harmful gases which can cause allergies, respiratory infections as well as many other diseases.
Alternative fuel vehicles are totally free of pollution, though. After all, there is no harm done to the environment by vehicles that do not burn petrol or diesel. Citizens of many countries are embracing automobiles that run on solar power, and car companies are looking into the production of an increasing number of vehicles that can run on the renewable energy sources that are discussed here.
